[What is the IELTS ?]
IELTS is the abbreviation for International English Language Testing System. It is the English proficiency testing system jointly developed by the exam board of Cambridge University in the UK, the British Cultural Committee and the Division of Development for Higher Learning in Australia. It is designed to measure the English proficiency for both students who would like to apply for their study in institutes and universities where courses are taught in English language and those who would like to migrate to English speaking countries.
Models of IELTS
IELTS is divided into two types: Academic and General Training. The former is mainly used for measuring the applicant’s English proficiency,to tell whether they can survive in the study of bachel or master degree programs in institutes and universities where courses are taught in English, while the latter is mainly designed to assess if the applicants have basic communication ability in English to survive in an English speaking country.

The overall duration for each session of IELTS2 is hours and 55 minutes.
How Many Parts in the IELTS exam paper?
The IELTS is composed of four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking. The overall score for each part is 9.The final result is the average score of the four parts.
n Listening (Exam papers G and A are the same): There are 40 questions in each exam paper and test duration is 30 minutes. The record is played only once and you have 10 minutes to write the answers on your answer sheet. Content of record: there are four episodes in total, the first two passages focusing on studying, living and social activities;the rest two passages are about discussing on education, academic research as well as world news
nReading Part (Exam papers A and G are the same): There are 40 questions in each paper and 40 munities for each exam period. The content can vary, sometimes it appears in the form of graphics and tables. Therefore there are also various ways of answering the questions, such as multiple choice questions, brief answers to the questions, completing the sentences, select the most suitable titles, category dividing, matching sentences and etc. The exam paper type A focuses on discussion and understanding of academic topics; while the exam paper type G emphasis on the topics on social, language and working trainings.
n Writing (Type A and G): There are 60 minutes of test time. There are two writing tasks (Task 1 and Task 2); It is required that participants write an essay with more than 150 words within 20 minutes according the material given. Normally, pictures, tables, coordinators and graphs appear in the Task 1 of the exam paper type A. It is required that participants write a letter to cope with the situation or issues indicated by the questions in the task I of exam paper type G. The types A and G are the same in the Task II. The participants are required to write an essay within 40 minutes to explain your points, views or issues.
n Speaking (the questions of Paper A and G are the same): There are 11—14 minutes of one to one conversation, which can be divided into three parts. The first part: the self introductions by both participant and interviewer. The participant then answers the questions about himself, such as study, working and hobbies. The second part: a participant will be given a question or an indicator and talk about the specific issues. After that, the interviewer will put forward one or two questions. The third part: the participant and the interviewer discuss on a profound topic. This topic is related to the titles during the second part.
【When Can I Get my Test Result?】
It takes 2 weeks to get your test result after your completion of the test. The result remains valid for 2 years.
