Brief Introduction on SAT

[What is SAT?]
The SAT is the abbreviations for Scholastic Assessment Test. Its Chinese name is academic ability assessment test. The SAT score is the vital important reference to decide whether any high school applicant world-wide could be accepted during his application and could be given scholarship. The AST scores are in two parts: the first part (SATI) is reasoning test and second part (SAT II) is subject test. The SATI is designed mainly for testing participant’s ability to write, read and calculate. The SAT II is referring to the subjects in asthmatics, physiology, chemistry and biology. Only SAT II would be required for any high school applicants in China who want to make application for their bachelor study in USA.
[Testing Method]
The SAT has its testing centers in Honking and Taiwan but not in the main land. Also, there are testing centers in Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Therefore applicants from China could go to those countries and regions to participate such test.
[Testing Content]
It is 3 hours and 45 minutes for each SAT I test, with its multiple choices questions in exam and writing. Its main purpose is to test the participant’s ability in terms of reading, writing and mathematics, with its total score 2400. It is only one hour set for each SAT II test, with its majority of multiple choice questions. Its main purpose is to test the participant’s acknowledges on one specific subject. The single optional subjects available for SAT II include mathematics, physiology, chemistry, biology, foreign languages (Chinese, Japanese, German, French and Spanish) etc. The applicants could apply for a specific subject according to their specialties.
